Aloha All,
I just spoke with Maylene Enoka at 6:30 pm this evening, Monday, 19 September. (Got a call from Bobby Schmidt first, who had left Kaiser a little earlier). She asked if I would please spread the word to all of Clem's wonderful, loving friends, that the Enoka family thanks everyone for their prayers, love, care and well wishes and support. Over the past weeks, they received call from all over the place and from so many, mainland including.
They made the decision at 5:30 pm this evening, to release Clem to be with His Lord & Savior, Christ Jesus. No more suffering and pain. He fought the fight and at the end, he is now comforted KNOWING that his family, is well taken care of and at peace as well.
All the family was in, including their children and grandchildren...from Oahu, the Big Island, Maui and even Iowa. They had first asked the hospital staff to help dress him in his favorite shirt and shorts. Family sang and played the ukulele.
Maylene's children will help her with funeral arrangements, she said it will probably be with Borthwick and she will keep in contact so that the word can go out with the final arrangements.
Brethren, PLEASE continue to keep the Enoka family in your prayers, for continued strength, comfort and understanding. Any loss, is not easily overcome. They need our continued support.
PLEASE pass this message on to your circle of friends. Clem was a gentle giant that will be missed by many.
Aloha Ke Akua, larry.
P.S. Don't forget tomorrow please, funeral services for Fred Schultz.
