Hi All...me again. ...lol...
ANYWAYS, thanking you all who have been responding and sending in your forms and payments. Really appreciate it...the paper work is horrendous. There are still more out there that needs to come in. Please send them in asap. Thank You.
Secondly, I don't know how it slipped by, but on previous forms we had the buffet listed correctly at $55. On the forms coming in now, it say $50. Some of you have graciously scratched the $50 out, and remitted the correct $55 for each dinner. Thank You.
For the rest of you (who didn't know the correct cost is $55) can either mail in the additional $5 due for each person/meal, OR, we can put it on the spread sheet and collect it down at the banquet. Preference is to mail it in. It always happens at an event, lines get backlogged at the sign-in table, if things were not previously handled BEFORE the event. Thank You.
Again, forms/payments have begun to come in at a much more even pace. Nevertheless, I still need all the rest of you, to PLEASE, get yours in...asap.
In the beginning, we were having y'all send the forms/payments in to either Warren Ferreira or myself. That became difficult having counts/numbers/split between two locations. Hence, if you still have form that list the address for Warren, kindly disregard it and just send it to me please. I open them, peruse the distribution of each persons payment (between air fare, hotel only, slots tourney, golfing, polo shirts, etc.) and marked each manually. I then hand it over to my fiancee, who simply imputs my information into her spreadsheet. A copy of that final spreadsheet, will be down at our event(s).
After that, I xerox checks and turn them over to Warren for deposit into our account, forward the golfing checks to Kamehameha Schools Alumni, and forward the Vacation Hawaii package checks to them. Constantly, before our DEADLINE DATES. That is the reason for the rush to collect the forms/payments NOW, so the stream of this activity ends WAY BEFORE we fly to Vegas. Like yourselves, I am making the trip to ENJOY...and don't want to be working up there the entire trip, which normally happens. Thank you for all who are responding early. These forms ALSO, helps us BIG TIME, to try to make the name tags, BEFORE we get to Vegas. Alice is also making favors for everyone. HENCE, we need accurate counts so that people are not left..."without".
Good news. A couple times, I hinted at possibly getting a suite...as a hospitality central. Betty Sakoda has emailed me to speak with Angie Adams, as she is willing to open up her suite, specific time, for this purpose. Thank You ladies. We will talk more very soon. Meanwhile folks, bring your ukuleles and voices for probably, an impromptu Thursday night Kanikapila.
Don't recall if I mentioned already, but George Chock will be the liaison for the Vegas brethren, getting them to join us at our fellowshipping events. TALK WAR STORIES.
Das the update for now. Until I get a bunch more...
Ciao for Now, lary.
I'll post this same message up on our HPD BIG ISLAND OHANA message board, for those we don't have the email addy's of.
Also, please go to our website: bigislandohana.com and be familiar with our site; check out our Message Board for postings and, if you have something informational for all of us, please post as well on a new thread.
