Brethren,
Please keep our Brother Clyde Springer in your prayers, per an email from Braddah David Heaukulani. He reportedly has stopped treatments.
Received phone calls from both Steve Magnani and Chazzz Langer today, regarding a couple funerals.
1. Buster Pedro (anyone knows his first name please, so I can add it on to the Annual Roll Calls for all the HPD organizational events) - I know his father and brother were named Tom.
June 26, Sat, 4-9 pm at St. Louis Alumni
June 27, Sun, bike ride
Apparently Magnani received the information from Bill D'Argis. Please contact him for more information.
2. Ray Simao on the Big Island - he was an officer with HPD for a few years, then became an officer up here on the Big Island, attaining the rank of captain by the time he retired. He's had a series of heart problems.
June 17, Thu, 5-9pm at Dodo Mortuary...
June 18, Fri, urn ceremony at Homelani...
Per his wife Mona, he always looked forward to attend our Annual HPD Big Island Ohana 10-3. They sent monies three times, but was only able to make it once, due to his off/on illness.
Please remember to wear our black HPD logo polo shirts for this funeral. If yours is worn out, then please use your navy polo shirt or another color you may still have left. (This year for the Vegas 2010 HPD Blue Invasion, we have our new one coming out. You can order them by contact myself at Kamehameha669@hotmail.com. Especially for those whose special, HPD logo polo shirts, are fading out.)
Please continue to keep in your prayers, the following Brethren and their families: Clem Enoka (I was told he may be able to go home soon); Bobby Yarnell at Oahu Care Facility at 1808 S. Beretania St. and Fred Schultz.
Lastly, a heads-up. Brother David Heaukulani has filed for a non profit 501(c)(3), Aha Hui Mamala Hoa. It will be a contingency of police honor guards for funerals, beginning with us up here on the Big Island. He has a nice design for the patch. He has already ordered vests and is ordering another item that completes the regalia. He has already written the By Laws, Purpose, etc. He will also put forth the protocol for these "honor guards" at future funerals. Anyone curious/interested, please contact him at daveheaukulani@yahoo.com. A concerted effort.
Please pass the above information on. Not everyone has an email and we don't have the emails (or correct ones anymore) of a bunch of our Brethren.
Aloha, lary.
