Aloha all,
Former HPD officers Bob Shimamoto and Bob Arthurs asked if I could pass the word on, requesting prayers for Marc Greenwell. Brother has Alzheimer's. He and his wife are travelling internationally for a month, something he has wanted to do all his life. It must be hard for his wife Rose as well, especially travelling. Please keep the couple in your prayers for safety as well, and for strength for Rose to deal with the demands the circumstances calls for.
Don't forget Brothers Fred Shultz, Clem Enoka, Forrest Broome for the June 2 surgery, Chazzzzzz Langer for the ongoings. There are more of you out there. We can add others to this list as well.
Please don't forget to keep Brother Bobby Yarnell and his family in your prayers as well. Very emotional. That stroke just devastated him.
I have a special request. The following person was not a police officer, but a human being nevertheless. He is from Lester Akeo's class (Kamehameha '54). A few weeks ago, he presented to the Hilo Hosp with a stroke. Only a daughter closeby. After about a week, he got put in Extended Care, down the street from the hospital. Visiting friends reports the place is...YUK. They also said the personnel just puts food by him, but nobody helps to feed him. They don't even check on him. Well, the Brother just suffered a second stroke...a MASSIVE one. Please pray for him and his situation. I thought of Yarnell, when I heard about my friend Charlie Hopkins last night. Very sad. Bobby gets a lot of visitors. This man just has his daughter, after she pau work.
Brethren, I send these "requests for prayers" emails to men and women I strongly feel, have the heart to take a few minutes out of their busy schedules, to pray for others. People I feel, share the burden of those in need. We all going end up there too. Anyone wanting off the list, please let me know and I wll NOT send you another email to pray for our Brethren.
Mahalos, lary.
