Our June 2009 issue newsletter is about to go out to all of those we have mailing addresses of. It will update information on our three day Aug 21, 22 and 23, 2009 event up here on the Big Island. It will also talk of our Blue Invasion-Vegas 2010 event for next year. RSVP forms for the Aug 2009 event and the Oct 2010 (survey) will be in this issue of our Newsletter. It is 10 pages of hardcore information...lol.
If you are NOT on our mailing roster and would like to be, please email achuberko@yahoo.com with a cc to me. Once on the list, you will receive our subsequent mailout, constantly giving updated information.
Whether or not you can attend our event, we still accept donations of any amount, for mailouts, printing, postage, donations at funerals of members and their significant others. We always list our donors in the newsletters as well as on the keepsake DVD. For now, donations are not tax deductible but we are in the process of setting up a 501(c)(7) organization, at which time donations WILL BE tax deductible.
(Don't forget Schmidt/Burke's 19th Annual Hui Ana on Aug 14th at the A Frame. Come one, come all.
By the way, Bruddah Russ Yap and the X Solo Bike Club are coming up, in force. Among them are Russ, Rope Ohia, thingyie Fujita, Richard Anderson, David Lam, Kyle Norbriga, Neil Schoening, Louis Souza and about 6 others. I understand Charlie Duncan may be joining them. Derrick Pa, Earl Mitchell, Val Huihui and Nicky Cambra have all been contacted also. They also waiting word from Paul Lewis, Marilyn Caris, Clarence Kelly and Sam Aweau.
The itinerary for the X Solo Club: they arrive Aug 19 in Hilo at 0644 hrs., go down to Kona for a day, come back up to Hilo on Thursday, join our three day function for Aug 21, 22 and 23, and fly back to HNL on Aug 25th at 1200 hrs. We up here on the Big I, greatly appreciate their show of support.
Lastly, PLEASE SEND YOUR RSVP's in ASAP...like yesterday. We are hard pressed to get as accurate a count for meals and the beautiful royal blue polo shirts that we are putting out this year, with our 5th Anniversary HPD Big Island logo on them.
Our official Watering Hole for our event, is Kim's Lounge, right across where they hold the annual Merrice Monarch. They donate heavily to our event.
Das it fo' now. PLEASE SEND IN those RSVP's with payments asap, so we can let the caterer and the embroiderer of the polo shirts, accurate counts.
