Aloha All,
So sorry, I have not been diligently reporting the need for prayers for our Brethren that are in need and in some of their cases, prayers for their families, here on this vehicle. I have instead, been emailing about 125 Brethren with all the information, the past several months. We just wrapped up our 8th HPD Big Island Ohana 10-3 on Aug 24th and 25th up here in Hilo, and I am still trying to wrap up the post event Thank Yous, Newsletter, etc.
RECENT PASSINGS
PLEASE keep the families in prayer for their loved ones who have passed on. AS for our Brothers & Sisters here, may there souls rest in peace. They are:
Sam Wana – former officer with HPD and HCPD
Maude Kamalani – Retired HPD civilian and wife of Sgt. David Kamalani of Waimea
George Keoki Meheula – of Vegas, passed from cancer of the liver. Funeral was today.
PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR BRETHREN THAT ARE GOING THROUGH MEDICAL AND OTHER ISSUES
(We know that God hears and answers prayers, ACCORDING TO HIS WILL. The most important element of everyone’s life, is their soul and where they spend Eternity, as life on earth, is temporary).
Forrest Broome – continual prayers for his numerous medical ailments and his upcoming surgery on his eyes.
Joe Abreu – Stage 4 lung cancer.
Leonard Chong – Bone cancer per Clarence DeCaires.
Earl Tanioka – Pancreatic cancer.
Loren Andrade – Per Wayne Goodwin, he is out of the hospital and now at home.
Warren Ferreira – Undergoing chemo for intestinal cancer. New inoperable growth also, hope to be treated by the chemo.
Merwyn Lyons – Hips.
Larry Mehau – Right knee and back problems from his tenure with HPD.
Charlie Langer – His continued bout with tumors. Brother has gone under numerous operations for mostly skin cancer. His FAITH in AKUA, has had him standing tall. He is weak, please pray for comfort and strength also.
Newton Harbottle – who suffered a stroke many years ago and most recent, a heart attack.
Bobby Yarnell – who suffered a stroke several years ago and is now living back on Oahu.
Chief & Mrs. Francis Keala – Ailments.
David Kamalani – Memory.
Bob Shimamoto – Recurring depression from the Korean and Viet Nam era.
Mitch Chang – Continued healing for the metal plate inserted in his skull, from tumor operation.
Spencer Waalani Springer – suffering from that neurological disease.
Vic Vierra – recently released from Hilo ICU for high blood sugar levels.
BRETHREN, I’d like to really encourage all of you reading these names, to really meditate and pray for each of our Brothers and their unique, speciall needs, PLEASE. Just the mere reading of these names as if you were reading the daily newspaper, is NOT sufficient please. PLEASE pray for their COMFORT, STRENGTH & PEACE. Even 5-10 seconds each, is fine. Such little time to spend, on each Brother. Often times, we overlook the families that are suffering through all the issues, of their loved ones. They also need your prayers too, please. Let us also pray for wisdom, for their doctors and medical staffs, to properly diagnose and apply the art of medicine, to each of our Brothers lives too. Thank You.
Anyone having information on other Brethren that we can add to this list, by all means…HOLLER or post your own thread on our HPD Big Island Ohana site donated us by Former HPD Officer Stan Cook.
WE STAND IN THE GAP, FOR OUR BRETHREN!!!
God Bless, Malama Pono & A Hui Hou, lary (Larry A. Rutkowski – (808) 383-5069)
